Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know to book a private pool or list your own on PoolUp97.

Booking a pool

How does PoolUp97 work?

Choose a private pool, a date, a time slot and the number of swimmers, then pay online. Your booking is confirmed right away: you receive a confirmation email and find all the details in your account, under “My bookings”.

How is the price calculated?

The host sets a price per person per hour. Children pay half price and babies are free. The PoolUp97 service fee (12% of the host's price) is included in the total shown before payment: no surprises.

Is payment secure?

Yes. Payment is processed by Stripe, with your bank's 3D Secure check. PoolUp97 never stores your card details.

Do I need an account?

Yes, a free account is needed to book. It lets you find your bookings, cancel them and leave a review. You must be at least 18.

Can children come?

Of course. They must be supervised at all times by the adults accompanying them, and the total number of people must not exceed the capacity shown on the listing.

Cancellation and refunds

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, from “My bookings”. More than 48 h before the start: full refund, service fee included. Between 24 h and 48 h before: 50% refund. Less than 24 h before: no refund.

What if the host cancels?

You get a full refund, service fee included.

When will I be refunded?

The refund is issued immediately. It usually shows on your account within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

What if it rains or there is a weather alert?

Showers or a yellow alert don't stop a swim: your booking stands. With an orange alert (Météo-France) on the day, you can move your booking for free within 3 months, get a 12-month credit valid on every pool, or get a full refund from your booking page. With a red or purple alert, we cancel and fully refund you, with nothing to do on your side.

Listing my pool

How much does it cost to list my pool?

Nothing. Signing up is free and PoolUp97 takes no commission from hosts: you set your price and keep all of it. Our service fee is paid by the guest.

When do I get paid?

Your earnings are paid automatically to your bank account through Stripe, from 24 h after the end of each booking. How long it takes to arrive then depends on your bank.

What do I need to become a host?

Create an account, describe your pool with nice photos, then set up your payouts with Stripe (which verifies your identity). Every listing is reviewed by PoolUp97 before going live. Also check with your insurer that your liability cover includes welcoming swimmers.

Do I choose my opening hours?

Yes. You set your opening hours, the break between two bookings and the dates when your pool is unavailable. You can block your calendar whenever you like.

Is my income taxable?

It may be. At the start of each year, PoolUp97 sends you a summary of the amounts you received the previous year, as required by law, to help with your tax return.
